Be a Good Neighbor

It’s a simple message, but something we can all do a better job of.

Adam Barlow-Thompson cofounded the nonprofit The Neighboring Movement about a decade ago and is now “doing something about South Broadway.”

The “SoCe” aka South-Central neighborhood from Kellogg south to Pawnee and from Washington West to the Arkansas River has gotten a bad rap for a long time, but Adam is helping change that.

We just interviewed Adam on our podcast, so check that out for his full story.

Natasha Gandhi-Rue is always coming up with unique and delicious dishes.

With the move into the former Railhoppers Space on Oliver, her catering can thrive now as well!

Ballroom Collective at Eaton Place

Janelle King is a gem in Wichita.

Not only did she start the Workroom and helped launch many local companies through her incubator, but now she is right by Naftzger Park at Eaton Place.

There are some changes to the Workroom, but today we want to highlight her Ballroom Collective which offers 3, 6, or 12-month spots for a variety of businesses.

The City of Wichita is doing its best to stay up to date and make it easy to report issues, like potholes (that are typically fixed within 24-48 hours of being reported).

Kellogg Expansion

Much like Arnold promised in Terminator, Kellogg construction is coming back with a vengeance to east Wichita.

Kellogg will soon expand to 6 lanes in east Wichita from K-96 to Andover to improve the flow of traffic each way.

AJ Harvey is a 25-year-old who was born and raised in Wichita and now lives in Norman, Oklahoma, but he’s turning chairs on The Voice.
