Town Hall on Wichita Budget
You have two chances to chime in for a social media town hall with the City of Wichita:
- Tuesday, April 9th from 5-7 pm
- Monday, April 15th from 5-7 pm
Two top concerns from the annual resident survey were street maintenance (check out our video on potholes) and crime prevention. These will be prime topics for the town hall.
Water Rebate
If you want to help save water (and money) this year, check out the Wichita water rebate program.
Street Sweepers
Wichita put down around 8445 tons (over 18 million lbs) of salt-sand mix to help out with ice throughout the winter.
Starting last Monday, the Dirt Reynolds and the Sweepers of the Plains are getting to work cleaning up our streets and the mix will be used to cover the Brooks Landfill which will save about $660k a year in landfill costs.

Air Capital of the World
The Greater Wichita Partnership is showcasing why Wichita is the Air Capital of the World this week at MRO Americas with a booth that will feature a distinctive refueling station provided by Bombardier and a Smart Rover robotics kit courtesy of The Smart Factory by Deloitte @ Wichita.
NCAA Tournament
March Madness is a special time of year.
Some of the March Madness Magic is coming back to Wichita in 2025 (yes, next year!) as we play host to D1 Men’s basketball 1st and 2nd rounds for the first time since 2018.
Wichita also hosted NCAA women’s Sweet 16 and Elite 8 last year.
