City Job Fair
You know those 293 open positions at the city I told you about? There is a job fair today from 1 - 4pm if you or someone you know is interested!
Detour Time
If you are a regular on 37th Street North from Hydraulic to Ohio Street…I am sorry. This busy stretch of road will be closed starting tomorrow through late May.
Evergy Power Poles
The only thing less popular than the initial backlash of Andy’s going into College Hill was the plan from Evergy to put new, taller power poles through Riverside Park.
Evergy just backtracked on those plans after further evaluation and deciding they do not need to rebuild the 1950’s substation infrastructure quite yet.
At least Andy’s is delicious.
LOCAL

Every Tuesday from tomorrow (4/23) until May 28th, head to Botanica to enjoy beautiful tunes out on the terrace.

Pop Up Market
This Saturday (4/27) head to Hopping Gnome to sip and shop local as Haute Handmade hosts a Pop Up Market from 12 - 5pm!
Free Family Play Day
The Great Plains Nature Center would love for you to come by this Saturday (4/27) for a wide range of activities and snacks for the free family play day!
Charity Golf Tournament
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times. I am not a golfer.
But that doesn’t mean you aren’t!
Come support Passageways First Annual Golf Tournament on May 13 at Willowbend!
Stage 2 Drought
Rain, rain, come our way..
If we don’t get more rain this spring, we may enter into another stage-two drought later this summer.
Legendary Artist
If you’ve been in Wichita for any amount of time, you’ve probably seen the amazing grain elevator mural that broke a Guinness World Record.
This was created by Nathalia Gallego or GLeo.
GLeo is back to paint a mural at Wichita State on the Duerksen Fine Arts Center Amphitheatre.
Wichita Gladiator Dash
The 12th annual Wichita Gladiator Dash will return to Sedgwick County Park on June 1, 2024.
It consists of a timed 5k mud run with 20 challenging obstacles for teams or individuals.
100% of the proceeds from the event go to local organizations.
Last year, The Wichita Gladiator Dash donated $35,000 to the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County, and $15,000 to the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation of Kansas.
