Let's get to it! - Landon Huslig St. Patrick’s Day You don’t have to be Irish to celebrate this weekend and have a green beer. Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day for those unaware and Wichita knows how to celebrate. Here are just a few options to choose from. St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Head down to Delano on Saturday for the St. Paddy Day street party that starts at 10am. The parade itself starts at noon and will span McLean Blvd to Walnut Street running west down Douglas. Wagon O’Masters Paddy Party: Over at Naftzger Park from 9am to 5pm on Saturday is the Paddy Party at the park. Over 5000 people showed up last year at the inaugural event which consists of good food (like bangers and mash) and much more. Pub Crawl: Between 4 and 6pm on Saturday, check in at Emerson Biggins for the official Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl that runs until Midnight. 15th Annual St. Patrick’s 5K run/walk: Run off all the bangers and mash on Sunday at 8am at the Old Cowtown Museum. There are plenty of other parties all over town at places like The Shamrock, Brickyard, and more. TOGETHER WITH ENDEAVOR FINANCIAL COACHING Running a small business is hard and stressful... most of the time.

CIVIL How dangerous are the roads in Wichita? More dangerous than Johnson County. It’s a joke that Wichita drivers don’t know how to drive. I agree they aren’t great, but Texas is much worse imo. That being said..here are the intersections with the the most crashes last year:
TOGETHER WITH THE WICHITA PUBLIC LIBRARY & THE BIG READ This Saturday is the kickoff for the 2024 NEA Big Read: Wichita. What does that mean? The Big Read program encourages residents to read a common book and participate in programs and events held around Wichita over a six-week timeframe. This year’s book is There There by Tommy Orange. This New York Times bestseller grapples with the complex history of Native Americans with an inheritance of profound spirituality – and with a plague of addiction, abuse, and suicide. It follows 12 characters finding their way toward participating in the Big Oakland Powwow. Two Key Programs for this year include:
LOCAL Allergy Capital of the US If you’re anything like me, you are on the struggle bus when it comes to allergies right now. This is the worst it has been for me in as long as I can remember, but you and I aren’t alone. For the 2nd consecutive year, Wichita is the king of allergies and took home the triple crown for tree, grass, and weed pollen scores. Broadway in Wichita Wichita is blessed with a great local and traveling performance arts scene. Broadway in Wichita is a big part of that. Take a look at what is coming up:
Is medical marijuana coming to Kansas? Sam Jones and Kansas Natural Remedies are behind a potential bill that could bring legal medical marijuana to Kansas. 19 of the 20 investors in the 4 year old company are Wichitans. Biking in Wichita More and more people are biking around Wichita. Some for recreation. Some just to get around. WAMPO performed an annual bike and pedestrian count and saw the jump. Local Chiro It is hard to find a chiropractor you can trust. But let reviews about ICT Muscle & Joint Clinic speak for themselves: "Dr. Keith is focused on the WHY of an injury or situation rather than just fixing it! He makes procedures and exercises easy to understand and involves you in choices of how to proceed. I would highly recommend him! (Prior to ICT Muscle and Joint, I was not a big chiropractic fan.)* *indicates sponsored content
